Christina has been performing since a very
young age. She appeared on Star
Search as a junior vocalist at the age of
8, and then went on to act, sing, and dance
on several different television and radio
shows. She even sang the national anthem
at Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates
games.
Christina is extremely well-known as the young,
cheery mousketeer with superb
talents and to-die-for hair that brightened
up the MMC sets during seasons 6 and 7.
During those two years, Christina sang, acted,
and danced her way into high
recognition from all MMC fans. Well, all good
things seem to come to an end and the
All New Mickey Mouse Club snapped on the camera
covers at the end of season 7,
leaving all the MMC fans in the dark.
Now, a few years later, Christina is entertaining
once more on Disney with the pop
version of the song from the movie Mulan,
"Reflection." The video shows the "new"
Christina with a different hairstyle and a
matured voice. The ballad is soft yet
powerful, letting the listeners in on the
extraordinary abilites of Christina and her
voice. But that's not the whole story! Christina
has gained fame overseas due to the
duet with popular Japanese singer Keizo Nakanishi
in 1997 entitled "All I Wanna
Do." And before that, in 1993 Christina performed
"What Child is This?" on Home for
the Holidays, a Christmas music CD.
Christina is now famous all over the world.
"Reflection" receives high radio airplay
and rose up the charts. The Mulan soundtrack
overall was popular, for it went gold
(100,000 units sold). That means Christina
received a gold record before her first
album was even released--or completed for
that matter!
Her first single, "Genie in a Bottle", is rising
up the charts! Everyone loves it, and
more Christina fans and fan sites are being
made everyday! Comparisons are flying
everywhere, but Christina's proving she's
her own person with one-in-million talents
and traits that could never belong to anyone
else. Christina has her foot in the
doorway of even greater success. After all...
"...there's a heart that must be free to fly..."
